Vilebrequin La Plage collects and processes personal data. Vilebrequin La Plage respects the user and client confidentiality. Vilebrequin La Plage’s data protection policy is in compliance with the European Parliament and Council’s (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereby referred to as GDPR).

When you subscribe to our newsletter, when you reserve a table on our website or when you contact us through our contact form, you agree to our privacy policy. Your agreement implies that you have read and understood this Charter.

This Charter covers all data processing carried out within the Vilebrequin La Plage network. The Vilebrequin La Plage network includes all Vilebrequin La Plage beaches and restaurants worldwide belonging to Vilebrequin Hospitality SA (hereby referred to as the Vilebrequin La Plage Network or Vilebrequin La Plage). Other beaches and restaurants that bear the trade name 'Vilebrequin La Plage' but do not belong to Vilebrequin Hospitality SA are governed by their own privacy charters. 2- What Type of Information Do We Collect and Under Which Circumstances?

The specific nature of the data we collect depends on how you interact with us. The details of the information collected according to the time and type of collection are listed below.

2.1 Spontaneous Disclosure of Your Data to Vilebrequin La Plage
2.1.1 When you book a table online using our booking system, or when you book a table on a partner website, we may collect the following information:
  • - Your surname and forename
  • - Your telephone number
  • - Your e-mail address

2.1.2 When you subscribe to our Newsletter or agree to receive marketing communications, we will collect the means of communication you have provided.

2.1.3 When you voluntarily provide us with information about yourself (including through social networks) or when corresponding with us, we will process and store this data.

2.2 Disclosure of your Data by Third Parties or Online
We collect standard data from all users who browse our Website, even those who do not have a customer account. Vilebrequin La Plage tracks users' interaction with the Website, monitors performance and collects other information that may be considered Personal Data such as the date and time of access, Users' IP addresses and information about the equipment, operating systems and browsers used to access the Website as well as the URL of sites that refer Users to the Website.

3- For which Purposes Is Your Data Collected and Processed?

We collect your Personal Data on the basis of Article 6.1 a) of the GDPR and solely on the basis of your consent, for one of the following purposes:

3.1 Vilebrequin La Plage collects and processes your personal data when you book a table using our booking system, or when you book a table on a partner's website to enable us to manage your booking.

3.2 Vilebrequin La Plage also collects and processes your personal data in order to improve your user experience on the Website and to enable the Vilebrequin La Plage Network to improve the quality of its services. The data collected in this way is processed for the following purposes:
  • a. To secure and improve your use of the Website, in particular:
    • i. To improve browsing
    • ii. To improve security and fraud prevention to prevent misuse of the Website.

  • b. To carry out cross-checks, analyses and combinations using trusted service providers, in order to determine your interests, your customer profile based on your wishes, your habits or even your location (according to your IP address) and to enable us to send you personalised offers

  • c. To manage technical marking activities (including technical activities such as the standardisation, enrichment and deduplication of your Personal Data)

  • d. To create profiles for targeted loyalty-building, marketing, survey and promotional campaigns.   • 3.3 Vilebrequin La Plage collects and processes your personal data in order to send you marketing communications using the means of communication that you will have shared with and provided to us.

    4- With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Data?


    We will only share your personal data in one of the following situations:
    • - When your data is necessary for the performance of the Services and the purposes described in this Charter
    • - When your data has been anonymised

    Your data may be shared with recipients that are inside the Vilebrequin La Plage Network or with external recipients.
    The list of internal recipients includes all the entities of the Vilebrequin La Plage Network (as mentioned in paragraph 1.3 of this Privacy Charter).

    Vilebrequin La Plage only shares information that is necessary to fulfil the intended purpose with its network of service providers.
    We make sure that the external service providers we use protect all the personally identifiable data we share with them in compliance with this Charter.

    We may also need to disclose your data when necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal process or to respond to a governmental or regulatory request, to enforce or apply the Terms of Use or the Terms of Sale, to protect the security or integrity of our services and/or to protect the rights, property, including intellectual property, or safety of our entities, employees, customers, users or others. In such a case, we will make every effort to notify you by e-mail, unless we are prevented from doing so by law.

    Finally, we may disclose or transfer your personally identifiable information in the event of a sale, merger, bankruptcy, sale of assets or reorganisation of our company. If another company were to acquire your personally identifiable data, we will let you know, and the commitments contained in this Privacy Policy will apply to the data transferred to the new entity.

    4.1 Sharing Data That Does Not Allow You to Be Identified
    Vilebrequin La Plage may share data that does not identify you as a natural person or that has been anonymised with partners and the public in various ways, for example by providing research or reports on Users' purchasing habits.
    When we share this type of information, we will implement all appropriate procedures to ensure that the data shared cannot be re-identified. We also contractually prohibit data recipients from re-identifying them.

    We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Charter or as required under applicable law.
    If you book a table online, your contact details will be retained for 3 years.
    If you only register for our newsletter and/or create a customer account, but do not carry out any transactions, your contact details will be retained for 3 years. This retention period will be renewed each time you interact with Vilebrequin La Plage.
